This amazing adventure takes us to Bwindi ‘The Impenetrable Forest’ in Uganda’s mountainous far southwestern tip where you will have the opportunity to track Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi ‘the impenetrable forest’ home to one of the richest ecosystems in Africa. Mountain Gorillas are one of the world’s most endangered apes. It is estimated that there are only about 880 left throughout the world. Almost half of them can be found in Uganda, and populations can also be found in neighboring Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo

This 4-day gorilla tour with 2 gorilla treks goes with a flight from Entebbe to your gorilla trek in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park thus avoiding the long 9-hour drive to Bwindi and back.

The flight from Entebbe to Kihihi/Kisoro airstrip (the landing near Bwindi) departs at 07:45 and the return flight from Bwindi departs at 09:45 arriving Entebbe at 11:25. With this, it means you may consider arriving Entebbe either a day before the tour start day or, earlier than 7AM on Day 1 of the tour.

Day 1Arrival in Entebbe

Airport meet and greet and transfer to Papyrus Guesthouse (BB)

Day 2Scheduled flight to Bwindi

Transfer early morning at 6am to Entebbe International Airport for scheduled flight to Kisoro Airstrip. The flight takes 11/2hours, you will meet with our vehicle to transfer to the Gorilla Junction for coffee and meet with walking safari guide. Conduct the walking safari to embark on dugout canoe on Lake Mutanda piloted by local fishermen. You will then continue walking through the villages to then rendezvous with your vehicle to transfer to Nkuringo – Overnight at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge – private en-suite cottage (FB)

Day 3Gorilla tracking activity

Gorilla tracking activity, certainly one of the most exciting days of your safari; today you will be gorilla tracking. Breakfast will be served early and lunch will be packed. The briefing is at 8 am. Your guide will give you highlights of specific details about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from one to seven hours. Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away
When you get back in the afternoon you can either rest your legs or go for a short community walk around the top of the world; the highest point in Nkuringo and used as a football pitch

Day 4Return Flight

Transfer to Kisoro Airstrip to catch scheduled flight to Entebbe, the flight arrives in Entebbe at about 11:00am, and you will transfer to Papyrus Guesthouse for day-room use to then transfer later in the Evening for flight outbound Entebbe.
